Ingredient List

  • 200g bread flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 125ml tepid water
  • 15g butter/margarine
  • 1/2 sachet of Easy Blend Dried Yeast

Directions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 200oC, lightly flour a baking tray

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl place the margarine, flour and salt. Rub in the margarine with the flour.

Step 3

stir in the yeast

Step 4

Mix hot and cold water to achieve tepid temperature and add slowly to the flour mixture. The dough should be soft but not sticky. If the dough is a little dry add a drop of tepid water.

Step 5

Knead firmly for 15 minutes

Step 6

Shape into rolls, place on the floured baking tray and glaze with milk.

Step 7

Prove in a warm place for 10 minutes

Step 8

Bake in the oven until the bread is well risen and golden brown for aprox 15 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
